Bertrand & Lise Jousset
Domaine Jousset, Loire Valley
The Jousset's estate is located over two different appellations, spreading its 11 hectares over Montlouis-sur-Loire and Touraine. Lise & Bertrand grow Chenin, Chardonnay, Gamay and Grolleau with relatively old vines (between 30 and 130 years old). Their estate has been organic since the beginning and this is not about to change. But beyond this "philosophical" aspect, there are also winemakers' convictions. Their approach is very simple - they want wines that express their character and their origins. While Domaine Jousset only produces white wines, the Jousset couple, under the label of negotiants "Exile", have fun with grapes that they buy from vineyards they trust to offer us a nice juice, different every year, under the name of Exile. Under that label, you can find red and white wines.
