Domaine Romaneaux-Destezet, Rhône Valley
This 5 hectares estate was created in 1993 by Hervé Souhaut, step by step. By purchasing and planting different vines, the age of the vines goes from 50 to 100 years old. On the side, Hervé also negotiate carefully selected grapes, making its production reach around 25.000 bottles a year.
At an early stage, Hervé decided to follow the influence of natural winemakers to let the grapes express their terroir.
"My philosophy is to extract a delicate balance of tannins from the grapes, to make a wine with subtlety and finesse" - Hervé Souhaut
